Installation

Check your PC before you buy

Confirm your Windows version, system type, TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, launcher and drivers in a few minutes.

By the CODCheats team Updated

Every build lists its requirements on its game page. These checks confirm your PC matches them before you spend anything.

Windows version

Builds run on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

  1. Press Windows + R, type winver and press Enter.
  2. The window that opens names your edition (Windows 10 or Windows 11) and its version.

64-bit system type

  1. Open Settings, then System, then About.
  2. Under Device specifications, find System type.

It should read 64-bit operating system. Builds do not run on a 32-bit installation of Windows.

TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot

Black Ops 7, Warzone and Modern Warfare 4 need both turned on to play on PC. This is Activision’s requirement for the games themselves.

  1. Press Windows + R, type tpm.msc and press Enter. Specification Version should read 2.0.
  2. Press Windows + R, type msinfo32 and press Enter. Secure Boot State should read On.

If either is off, TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot for Call of Duty shows how to turn it on.

Launcher

The game page lists the launchers its build supports. Make sure the game is installed through one of them, and that it starts and reaches the main menu on its own before anything else is involved.

Windows Update and graphics drivers

Out-of-date systems cause more problems than anything else, so update both before you start:

  • Windows: open Settings, then Windows Update, and select Check for updates. Install everything offered and restart.
  • Graphics drivers: use your GPU maker’s own app. That is the NVIDIA app for NVIDIA cards, AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition for AMD cards, and Intel Driver & Support Assistant for Intel graphics.

Last check: the status

Requirements tell you whether a build can run on your PC. The status tells you whether it runs today. Check the badge on the game page, or the status page, before you choose a plan.
