Paying with crypto, step by step

How a CODCheats invoice works, how to send the exact amount on the right network, and what happens to a payment that arrives late, short or in the wrong place.

By the CODCheats team Updated

Payment is in cryptocurrency only. Cards, PayPal and bank transfers are not accepted. If you have not sent crypto before, this is the whole process. The mistakes it helps you avoid are the ones that cannot be undone.

Before you start

You need three things:

  • A CODCheats account. Accounts use a username and a password, with no email address. After your first purchase you get a recovery code. It is shown once, so store it somewhere safe straight away.
  • A wallet or an exchange account that can send the asset the invoice asks for, on the network it names.
  • Enough to cover the amount and the fees. Network and exchange fees are yours to pay, on top of the invoice amount.

All sales are final, so check the status of the build you want and check your PC before you start.

1. Start from your account

Choose a plan length on any game page, then complete the checkout in your CODCheats account. That checkout is the only place to pay. Anyone who sends you a wallet address in a message, or asks you to pay any other way, is not us.

2. Read the invoice

The invoice shows:

  • the asset to send;
  • the network to send it on;
  • the exact amount due;
  • the address to send it to;
  • when it expires.

The amount of crypto due is fixed when the invoice is created. Use the figure on the invoice, not one you work out from the dollar price.

3. Match the network

The same asset can exist on more than one network. Whatever your wallet or exchange calls them, choose the network the invoice names.

Crypto sent on the wrong network, to the wrong address or in an asset the invoice does not accept may be lost for good. We cannot recover it.

4. Send the exact amount

  • Copy the address, never type it. Once it is pasted, check the first and last few characters against the invoice.
  • Check what arrives, not what leaves. Some exchanges take their withdrawal fee out of the amount you enter. If less than the invoice amount reaches the address, the payment is short.
  • Send it in one transaction, before the invoice expires.

5. Wait for confirmation

Your plan starts once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain. How long that takes depends on the network and how busy it is.

A payment that has been sent but not yet confirmed has not failed, so do not send it again. If it is taking longer than you expect, open a ticket and include the transaction ID (also called the transaction hash).

If something goes wrong

  • You sent less than the amount due. It is credited to your CODCheats wallet balance. It is not returned.
  • It arrived after the invoice expired or the order was cancelled. It is credited to your wallet balance. It is not returned.
  • It went to the wrong address, on the wrong network or in the wrong asset. It may be lost permanently. We cannot recover it.

Your wallet balance can be spent on any CODCheats plan. It has no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or paid out in crypto.

Crypto payments cannot be reversed. Any attempt to dispute, reverse or recover one ends your access permanently (Terms of Service, sections 5 and 6).

Keep it safe

  • Pay only through the checkout in your account, after checking the address bar. Spotting fake sites and fake staff covers the usual tricks.
  • Never share your wallet’s recovery phrase with anyone. No payment needs it.
  • Nobody from CODCheats will ask for your password.
